Sunrise Real Estate leases 59,000 sqm of logistics space in Spain

Sunrise Real Estate (“Sunrise”), the pan-European investor, developer and asset manager specialising in high-quality logistics real estate, has secured two new leases totalling 59,000 sqm at schemes in Barcelona and Zaragoza, Spain. Both assets were developed in collaboration with logistics real estate specialist Panattoni.
A global third-party logistics and supply chain company has leased the remaining c. 49,000 sqm of available space at the asset in Barcelona, taking it to full occupancy. The asset forms part of a BREEAM-certified logistics and industrial park in Barcelona’s third ring. Strategically located with direct access to the AP-2 and AP-7 motorway, approximately 45 minutes from Barcelona and 25 minutes from Tarragona, the scheme is well suited to occupiers requiring large-scale logistics space in Catalonia. The wider park comprises three big-box warehouses, two of which are already fully let.
In Zaragoza, a transport and logistics company has leased c. 10,000 sqm of space at the facility. The Zaragoza asset is a state-of-the-art logistics and industrial scheme comprising two warehouse components, including dedicated logistics space and a cross-dock facility. Rated BREEAM ‘Very Good’, the asset is located just 3 km from Aeropuerto Zaragoza and 10 km from the city centre, making it well suited to last-mile logistics operations.
